What a YEAR 2023 has been! I guess the enormous fights on the comments section debating male & female nudity ratio can stop now! Its safe to say male nudity in Indian entertainment is very very normal. I will also go a step further, it is safe to say the I&B ministry under BJP is WAYYYY more liberal to allow male & even female nudity & bold content under their government. Just look at the statistics in this blog using the years, the suppressive days of Congress are over! I am quite sure at the current rate before the end of the year we will get couple more butt shots before the year end & the 2023 Nudity awards will be a tough competition.
Coming to the Web Series, it is tacky, the sex scenes have the subtilty of Ullu!! But WHO CARES? We have got butts! Not one but from two mainstream actors who both has played leads before. The nudity is not on par with Class but I must say this is the FIRST mainstream web series having Main Lead characters posing nude...not some new actors or side characters. This is a MASSIVE deal! It shows a shift in attitude, modernity of Indian government & changing times. Good days are here!
Nishant Dahiya has a good body, I always had the hots for him and his butt shot is nice. Tahir Raj Bhasin s butt shot is long but little blah.....still overall I would have given 4.5 stars specially to director Milan Luthria for changing the game & paving the way for future mainstream actors to pose naked! Shahid, Varun, Aditya, Sidharth, Rana, Ali are you listening?

I agree that male nudity is being accepted now, but that's because of the increasing consumption of OTT platform and the makers trying to look cool by including the only allowed form of nudity, that's male nudity.
Big fan of your blog, but don't say that this govt is somehow liberal. Don't forget the fact that they outright rejected legalising same-sex marriage which is a denial of the rights of LGBTQ+ community. A permission of showing male butts doesn't make them progressive.
The fact that more female nudity was present in 2016 with fewer OTT platforms than in 2023 with dozens of OTT platforms shows that they are still regressive AF.

@admin I agree with you to the extent that in BJP reign there s more male skin show in d OTT space. But I ll refrain from attributing pratical liberalism as a BJP trait. While I have a strong feeling that BJP belives such issues as onscreen nudity ethics etc being trivial for them and at this point of time national security, integrity, nations' brand building, economic growth etc are ahead on their priority list, I m afraid that going forward in line with their obsession with effective, tight and central governance has potential to impose tight regulations on media taking sudden and convinient moralistic positions.
Yes above reply is on point i guess we will see more male nudity from known actors soon in upcoming OTT because only male butt nudity allow by government and media only lose mind when its female nudity even its from not much known actress as we saw when Sacred Games release

Guya I have a feeling that in the experimental, indie film space, there is a lot of bold themes and nudity as well espeially in Bengali language. Eg I dont have the movie link but looking at the poster and the description appears that the lead Anindya Banerjee is significantly nude in the film. Name "Khur, Lost Wounds"

Where's the female nudity in 2016? I don't remember any. India doesn't have an issue showing the male body, but showing any 'private parts' of the female form is still rare and seemingly taboo. It's an interesting double standard, but it doesn't exist only in India.

If a series is rated A, there's high chances of butt scene. P.I. Meena on Amazon Prime has been rated A. Releasing on Nov 3 it seems. There's no trailer yet.
My objection is not about anybody's right to say something, it is about the futility due to the wrong forum; that too after substantively agreeing to the essence of it. And it spoils the mood of the whole discussion.
